1. Cookie Cutter Basics

Are your cookie cutters outline cutters or imprint cutters?
Our cutters are outline-only unless specifically stated otherwise. They cut the outside shape of the cookie and do not stamp interior details into the dough.

What does outline-only mean?
Outline-only means the cutter creates the outside shape of the cookie. You decorate the details yourself with royal icing, buttercream, airbrushing, stencils, transfers, or other decorating methods.

Are your cutters good for decorated sugar cookies?
Yes. Our cutters are designed for decorated sugar cookies and cookiers who want clean shapes with room for icing details.

Are your cookie cutters food safe?
Our cutters are 3D printed with food-safe PLA. They are intended for food use but should be washed properly before use.

Can your cutters go in the dishwasher?
No. Hand wash only. Heat from a dishwasher can warp 3D printed PLA cutters.

How should I clean my cookie cutters?
Hand wash with cool or lukewarm water and mild soap. Do not soak in hot water, put in the dishwasher, or expose to high heat.

2. Sizes and Measurements

How are cookie cutters measured?
Cutters are generally measured by their longest side, unless otherwise noted.

What size cookie cutter should I order?
Most decorated cookies work well around 3.5" to 4", but the best size depends on the design and how much decorating space you want.

Do you offer mini cookie cutters?
Yes. Mini cutters are available for select designs and are also commonly included in our Monthly Cookie Cutter Box.

Can I request a different size?
Yes, many designs can be made in different sizes. Contact us if you need a size that is not listed.

3. Custom Cookie Cutters

Do you make custom cookie cutters?
Yes. We can create custom outline cookie cutters from logos, sketches, images, screenshots, or design ideas.

Can you make a cookie cutter from a logo?
Yes, many logos can be turned into cookie cutters. Some designs may need to be simplified so they cut cleanly as a cookie shape.

Can you make a cookie cutter from a drawing or photo?
Yes. Clear sketches, drawings, screenshots, and photos can often be used as inspiration for a custom cutter.

What files can I send for a custom cutter?
Good file types include PNG, JPG, SVG, PDF, and clear screenshots. Simple, high-contrast artwork usually works best.

Can you make imprint or stamp-style cutters?
Our standard custom cutters are outline-only. If you need imprint details, contact us before ordering to see if the design is possible.

Can you print an STL file I already have?
We can print customer-provided STL files when the file is suitable for cookie cutter production. Contact us before ordering if you are unsure.

What makes a design difficult to turn into a cookie cutter?
Very thin details, small floating pieces, tiny text, complex interior shapes, and fragile areas may need to be simplified.

4. Monthly Cookie Cutter Box / Pink Box

What is the Monthly Cookie Cutter Box?
The Monthly Cookie Cutter Box is a limited monthly cookie cutter surprise box from The Cookie Mercantile. Each box includes physical outline cookie cutters built around a surprise theme.

How many cutters come in each box?
Each box includes 8 total cookie cutters and a stencil: 4 mini cutters and 4 standard-size cutters.

Are any designs exclusive?
Yes. Each Monthly Cookie Cutter Box includes one exclusive standard-size design.

Is the Monthly Cookie Cutter Box a subscription?
The Monthly Cookie Cutter Box is a limited monthly release, not an automatic subscription unless otherwise stated. A new box is released each month while supplies last.

When does the box go on sale?
The box is released once a month on our website. When available, it appears as the first listing on our homepage.

What happens if the box sells out?
Once that month’s box sells out, it is gone for the month.

Can I buy past box cutters individually?
After a new box is released, previous month’s cutters may become available individually in other sizes, except for the exclusive cutter.

5. Orders and Shipping

How long does it take to ship?
Most orders ship within your posted processing time. For the Monthly Cookie Cutter Box, boxes typically ship within 5–6 business days.

Where do you ship?

How can I track my order?
Once your order ships, you will receive tracking information by email.

My tracking says delivered but I didn’t receive it. What should I do?
Check with household members, neighbors, your local post office, or delivery carrier first. If you still cannot locate it, contact us and we’ll help review the next steps.

Can I change my shipping address after ordering?
Contact us as soon as possible. If your order has not shipped yet, we may be able to update the address. Once it ships, we cannot guarantee changes.

6. Returns, Issues, and Warranty

Do you accept returns?
Because cookie cutters are made for food use, returns are not accepted. If there is an issue with your order, contact us and we’ll help make it right.

What if my cutter arrives damaged?
Contact us with your order number and a photo of the damaged cutter so we can review it and get a replacement sent!

Do your cutters have a warranty?
Yes. Every cutter is backed by our lifetime warranty.

What does the lifetime warranty cover?
We cover your investment from all forms of damage.

What if I ordered the wrong size?
Contact us. We may be able to help you reorder the correct size, but used food-contact items may not be returnable.

7. Digital Files / STL Files

Do you sell STL files?
We offer all designs as digital STL files for customers who want to print cutters themselves.

Can I resell cutters made from your STL files?
Digital files are for personal use only unless a commercial license is specifically purchased or granted.

Can I share or redistribute your STL files?
No. Digital files may not be shared, redistributed, uploaded, or resold.

Do you offer refunds on digital files?
Because digital files are delivered electronically, all digital file sales are final.

8. Wholesale, Affiliates, and Designer Partnerships

Do you offer wholesale cookie cutters?
